About Christ University, Bangalore

CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831 which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).

Candidates must fulfill the Christ University BBA eligibility criteria below before applying for the entrance exam:-
Candidates must have passed 12th (from Karnataka PUC/ ISC/CBSE/NIOS/IGCSE/IB board) in any stream (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences).
Candidates appearing in the 12th examination in March- May can also apply with their Class 10th and Class 11th marks sheets.
No age limit has been mentioned for Christ BBA entrance exam.

The undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is offered by the School of Business and Management as a platform to prepare young minds with a positive attitude for excellent performance and committed service. The curriculum for the three year programme (6 Semesters), has been designed to enable the students to get an overview of the various aspects related to launching and managing a business effectively; as well as giving them an opportunity to specialize in a functional area of management that they would like to pursue in their careers.

The BBA programme provides students with the opportunity for interdisciplinary learning through various generic electives from the streams of Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Law, Media Studies, Hotel Management and Computer Applications. The ability to work in teams is also focused upon as a key skill to be developed for success in the work-place.

The programme also aims to develop the student’s independent thinking, decision-making capability and research aptitude. Learning is enhanced through many pedagogical tools like case studies, presentations, internships, research projects, industrial visits, and guest lecturers from a pool of industry experts.

Aimed at the holistic development of the students, the Department facilitates participation in various National and International fests. It also conducts many curricular and co-curricular activities on a regular basis. Where are the forms available?

Application forms for BBA course is available both online and offline. Forms are available only for a limited time period.

Is it Mandatory to attempt for entrance examination?

Students for the BBA Course are selected based on their merit hence are expected to clear their entrance examination which is not restricted only to academics but also complete their skill assessment, personality development, presentations and face to face discussion to understand the reasons for studying this course.

Before appearing for the entrance examination it is mandatory for the students to have pursued their pre –university or an equivalent examination.

How will I track the status of my application?

On our website students are expected to click on “Application Status Link” where they can track their status and check if the application has got selected, not selected or on hold.

Once the application is selected every student has access to an online link. An admission card has all the details – Candidate’s Personal Identity details, Roll number, selection test and procedure details.

What is a smart Card?

At Christ University, every student post selection in the college receives a smart card. This card acts as an ID card with a chip and can be used in certain departments of the college. It is also used as South Indian Bank ATM card to carry out all the transactions.

It is mandatory for every student to follow the admission process by filling the required forms. They are expected to pay a year’s fee along with admission registration fee of Rs 5,000. On request we help students with financial loan from the bank.
