Late Shankarraoji Chavan, Former Home Minister, Govt. of India as the “Founder President” and followed by Hon. Late Vilasraoji Deshmukh, Former Union Minister, Govt. of India. The trust had started its activity with the objective of providing hostel facility in Pune to the economically underprivileged students from the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. It is established through the inspiration of socially and educationally charged personalities, with motto “Yethe Bahutanche Hit” (Welfare of Masses). Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College of Commerce with its vision “To impart quality education for professional excellence and sustainable development through continuous improvement, teamwork and efforts so as to promote welfare to all our stakeholders” is moving with steady growth and development. MMCC is situated in heart of Pune city Deccan Gymkhana. The home to one of the most student-driven environment in Pune, the institute thrives on the efforts of its students who continue to prove their mettle in curricular, co-curricular & extracurricular and sports events thereby strengthening the brand of the institute.

In the year 1985 , it started a commerce college. In the decade of the 90’s and in the current decade, Marathwada Mitra Mandal has made rapid strides, making it one of the premier diversified groups of educational institutions situated in four independent campuses, all in Pune City and suburbs. These campuses are located at Deccan, Karve Nagar, Lohegaon & Kalewadi.

The institute is one of the best commerce colleges in the country and was ranked 23rd in the top 25 Mass Communication Colleges in India list. In the academic year 2008-2009, MMCC was given the Best College Award by S.P. Pune University and also ranked 3rd in the Top Colleges of Pune list by India Today in 2019. The college provides admission to various UG and PG courses. The admission is granted purely on the basis of merit. The students have to apply for the college and wait for the merit list.

For U.G. Courses

The application form is available only offline at the college campus.
The fee for the application form is INR 500.
The application fee needs to be submitted at the admission department in cash.
Entirely filled application forms should be submitted along with the requisite documents to the college office within the given time.

Two Identity card size color photographs of the candidate are required.
Attested copy of Candidate’s Caste Certificate in case of reserved category

MMCC Pune Placements

The institute has an excellent placement cell which guides students through their placement journey by conducting various workshops and programs.

The college has hired several soft skill development companies along with career counseling companies to aid the students in their decision making and placement interview sessions.

The institute even has MOUs with various institutes like the NIEM, IMERT, and Sparkplug Education, to name a few.

The college had a good placement season for the academic year 2019-2020 with several M.N.C.s like Infosys and ICICI visiting the campus for recruitments. The highest package received was around 2.65 LPA.
