Established in the year 1869, St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, is an autonomous college, affiliated to University of Mumbai. The total course duration for BMS and BMM programme is three years consisting of six semesters. Admission to BMS and BMM programme is based on marks obtained in the entrance test and Class 12 boards. Entrance test has a weightage of 60 per cent, whereas, Class 12 marks has a weightage of 40 per cent. The total seat intake for BMS and BMM programme is 60 students each. Candidates must also satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria to qualify for admission to these programmes:

Candidates for BA, BSc and BCom are selected on the basis of marks scored in Class 12
BCom programme selection procedure involves one extra step of personal interview conducted by the college itself. The interview round is done by Vice Principal of Commerce department or his representative
For BMS and BMM, candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12 and entrance exam conducted by the University

Certificate and Diploma courses

Admission to Certificate and Diploma programmes is based on the merit in the last qualifying exam and performance in interview

Candidates applying for BCom programme, need to pay an application fee of Rs 500, whereas, the application fee for other courses is Rs 820. Admission for all the courses is active till the second week of May. Candidates must apply within the stipulated time by following the steps mentioned below:

For admission to BMS programme:

Step I: Candidates should first visit the admission office of college (commerce section)

Step II: Collect the application form (for BMS programme) by submitting Rs 500 as application fee

Step III: Fill in the correct details as mentioned in Class 10 marksheet with a black ink pen

Step IV: Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks scored in Class 12

Step V: Selected candidates have to then appear for personal interview round with the Vice Principal of the Commerce section or his representative

Step VI: Final selected candidates will be intimated about their selection through SMS and mail (sent to their registered email id)
